Incredibly insightful but requires so much self-control, effort and empathy to do in face of any angry person.
I think it’s simply because of the fact that it is easier to think of protecting ourselves from the angry person’s emotions than to try to understand what is the thing we or some other person did that led to his or her anger in the first place.
The latter requires us to love the other person more than oneself and to look out for the needs of the other person over one’s own.
